Keighley is a town in West Yorkshire with a population of around 55,000 residents making it the third largest civil parish in England.

Author Bill Bryson jokingly asked in his book Notes from a Small Island ‘why is it that the British Army uses beautiful countryside for munitions target practice, when there are places like Keighley.’
